Timeline 1.0

updates timeline

For the past nine months we spent the midnight oil to bring you the future of availability management – already now!

While other software companies only offer hourly or daily rentals, we want to do it better and combine all possibilities. With our new Timeline model we’ll manage every case of your product line, from hourly (or even seconds or minutes) over daily to monthly rental, without any drawbacks. On the first look that might not seem extraordinary but at closer look you will notice that only very few companies solved this entirely.

For you nothing changes in terms of your setup, it’s already quietly doing its job in the background. But there is some benefits for you as rental company as well for us engineering the product. The Timeline will now ..

  • automatically find the next available date

  • accurately predict the available for each day and hour in the future

  • consider even min/max duration for every day

  • simplify the user experience without booking dead-ends

  • make our efforts much leaner to improve on experience and performance

And how does it work? It combines three availability layers to one timeline, comparing availability of location, offer (bundle) and the product(s).

From a real life example of our “debug-mode” you can see it in a bit more graphical way:

So what changed technically? Two completely different models with different codebases were merged to one. While the first model was made only for hourly bookings not for multiple days, only the second was looking at the “big picture”. But that’s now history and with our new Timeline availability preview is going to serve us for the next years.

Now we are fit for the future and your customers will be coming in more easily!
