Payment provider integration

settings payment provider

In order to offer online payments you will need to set up an account with an online payment provider. The ones we have integrated at the moment are Stripe and Paypal.

For each (or either) you need to set up your own account and connect it to you Rentware account via the API-keys provided in your Stripe / Paypal account.

-> How to get your Stripe API keys

-> How to get your Paypal API keys

Please note:

For both Paypal and Stripe you need to make sure, that your account is fully activated and that you are in “Live-mode”. This is usually indicated by a toggle in the upper right corner of the page with your API-keys.

Entering the keys into Rentware

Your API-keys need to be entered into the “Provider settings” of your Rentware Account.

You find those in settings -> Payment.

Here you can simply enter the keys in the corresponding fields and click “Save” in the upper-right corner.

For Stripe credentials please also activate the checkbox “Handle Stripe Payouts with Rentware”. This is needed for Rentware to be able to set the webhooks and enable automatic payouts to your bank account.

Activating the payment methods

On the same page you can select the actual Payment methods.

You can simply check on which payment methods you want to be displayed.

The field “Revenue account id” is only relevant for accounting purposes, you can continue without it.

For Google Pay, Apple Pay, Amazon pay and more via Stripe Express Checkout, please refer to the article:
