New pricing unit and interface
Please note that customers whose accounts existed before this change will still have access to an option “old interface”, which works exactly as before. You don’t need to change anything.
We have added a new pricing unit, called “Started day”.
This unit allows you to more easily create a “1 to 24 hours” logic. It basically counts how many 24 hour cycles have passed and uses that as a basis for calculation.
Example: 1 “Started day” = 100€
A customer then chooses
Start: Monday 14:00
End: Monday 20:00
This is 6, so still within one started day. The price will be 100€
If a customer selects
Start: Monday 14:00
End: Tuesday 15:00
Then the duration is longer than 24 hours (it’s 25 hours) and you will have 2 started days, so 200€.
To make setting up your prices even easier, we have also replaced the existing “base price” on items with what we call a “Simple pricing” table and a “Per Item” option.

The idea here is that if you chose “Per duration” you can first select a unit (in this example “Started day”) and then say from how many started days a price should apply. The first line always says “from 1”.
In the example above we say that we start calculating with 100€ per started day.
This applies for bookings of a duration up to 2 started days (since from 3 started days line 2 applies).
Once the duration of the booking reaches 3 started days (so more than 48 hours), the price becomes 80€ per started day. This also applies to the first 2 days. so for 3 started days (more than 48 hours) the price will be 3*80€ = 240€.
For 8 started days (more than 168 hours) the price will be 8*70€ = 560€.
From there you can still add additional pricing rules, as always.
When you select “Per item” you can simply enter a price per booking (regardless of duration).
So if you select “Per item” and enter 50€ then one the item will simply cost 50€ per booking. This option is meant for things like deposits or service fees, cleaning fees, etc.
